This movie is getting great reviews. Directed by probably the best director or at least one of the best directors of our time, Christopher Nolan, it is even been called one of the greatest war movies ever made.

I really can't wait to see this one.

Really looking forward to seeing this.

Was fortunate to visit Dover England years ago and hit hard that the future of the world at the time was hinging on what went down there.

In a few years Will Smith can remake it starring one of his kids.

I thought Finn complaining that GoT not being black enough was dumb....

Nevermind that Star Wars has three black guys over 40 years...

Just saw it. Great film. See it in IMAX or 70mm; biggest screen you can. Totally immersive experience, especially the aerial scenes and ship sinkings. The cinematography and sound really makes it feel like you are right in the action.

Not a lot of dialogue or character development. Everyone basically knows the story of what happened already. The story is told through the eyes of three different groups: some soldiers trying to get on a ship out, a private British boat sailing over to do what it can, and a couple of Spitfire pilots. Nolan's unique hook is that each story in itself is different lengths (the pilots spend an hour in the air, the boat a day on the sea, and the soldiers several days) but the story and editing weave them all together, and intersect with each other. It's similar to what Tarantino did in Pulp Fiction.

It's really a different kind of war film than most. Almost non stop action, but it stays focused on smaller scenes within an obviously epic event. Hard for me to describe, I think you need to see it yourself.

I give it four stars.
