Bored on a saturday. We constantly argue about which fights are the best. i propose that we start a list and every subsequent poster can add and or change the present list until we work into a bonafide top 100 list. This could go on for weeks or die on the vine, im not sure

Just take the list from the the last post and cut and paste and then make the changes you see fit

ill start with my personal top 5, maybe the next post can add 5 more and adjust to their liking and so on:

1) M Angelstad vs D Hordichuk IHL in orlando
2) B Probert vs C Coxe NHL in vancouver
3) K Tasker vs T Senn ECHL in toledo
4) J Macoun vs R Delorme in vancouver
5) S Churla vs K Maguire NHL in toronto
6) T Sullivan vs R Vandenbussche OHL in cornwall

so i started with 6, can we get this up to 100, only time will tell
I find most of what I read here frightening

Cool idea... I'd just get a good list for now and adjust later. I'll add a couple.

Freidrich -vs- Vandensbussche (teeth onto bench)
Laus -vs- Berube (there is room for this on a top 100 list)
Peat -vs- Stock
Probert -vs- McSorley (lengthy slugfest between two of the best)'
Domi -vs- Probert 1 (Domi bloodies Probert)
Domi -vs- Probert 2 (MSG)
Twist -vs- Leroux

I think we have to include at least a handful of KO's on the list, with the quintessential KO by Kocur on Kyte getting my vote.

Gotta give a vote to the McSorley-Langdon marathon from about 1997 or so as well.

It always just feels that Hordi-Angelstad, Peat-Stock, Vandy-Friedrich beat all for action / rough & tumble.
I don't think Scott Walker gets his due. Guy is non-stop, always has a second wind that he pulls out of his hip pocket, always fought bigger guys. I saw him shove his 3/4 front teeth back in and jump out for the next shift here in Nashville. Tough dude, and when you see him off the ice, he looks like a 14-year old kid.

Some suggestions:
B. Bassen vs. K. McRae (in Toronto)
J. Smith vs. M. Tinordi (in Washington)
A. Stojanov vs. K. Chase (in Hartford)
Keane vs. Walker, Guerin
T. Twist vs. J. McKenzie (in Hartford)
R. Simpson vs. D. Vial (in Ottawa)
R. Poeschek vs. C. Berube (in Washington; 97-98 I think)
S. Thornton vs. G. Diduck (in Vancouver)
I'll think of more when I'm less hungover. And personally I'd keep it to great fights, and have KO's be a separate topic.

Can someone help me? I'm trying to remember something - Paterson/Coxe or Paterson/Baumgartner?

for me Bill Guiren vs Jarome Iginla back in 02-03 is one of my favorite fights.

as for subtance of fights I cant possibly make a list Ive tried many times but theres so many great fights that I and nobody else has ever seen to make a list.

Gill: Paterson/Coxe's rematch fight was a toe2toe war worthy of maybe cracking the top 50. Paterson/Baumgartner to my knowledge never happend and if it did Id like to here more about it. Paterson also had a few legendary fights with McSorley with maybe 2 on the top 100 list.

Thanks - It's gotta be the Paterson/Coxe rematch that I'm thinking of.

id say the best way to really figure out is to have everyone post there top 10-15 and someone add up what makes the list most etc etc. Cause the way this is going there would really be no way of telling.(not that I added all that much)
