DoubleJ.... How much did you end up paying per ticket? I remember seeing them at $200+ at one point and I didn't want to pay that and driver 370 miles for a 60 year old Danzig.

I got my ticket for 71, plus the taxes it was 82. I was in the cheapest seat. If you wanted floor seats they were over 200. I'm glad I didn't pay for anything more expensive since the sound sucked for everyone. I wasn't the only one who thought it was a bad mix. Also, a read a review of the show on NJ.com and it said the same.

Interviewer- How does it feel to cover Gomez?
Madden- I don't know. I don't cover 3rd line centers.

Saw Roger Daltrey & the Boston Pops perform Tommy last night. What a show. It was only about 90 minutes long, but Daltrey is 74 for God's sake. Tommy was played straight-through with no breaks or talking.

His band includes 16-year-younger brother of Pete, Simon Townshend, who sounds pretty much like the man himself. Daltrey's voice is still strong & he said he keeps touring in order to keep it that way. The symphony was great.

After Tommy finished, they played Who Are You, Baba O & ended on a piano-note with a ballad called "Always Heading Home".

It's pretty amazing to look around and see a crowd of grey & WHITE hair, dotted with some teens & younger people, rocking out. Perfect weather, beautiful location to see a show, and great music. Doesn't get much better.

Sounds great B92, but how could Pete have a 16-year old brother? That would be some 3 generations removed!

Went to The Wheels Of Soul Tour - a triple-bill featuring Tedeschi Trucks Band, Drive-By Truckers and The Marcus King Band - 07/17. Great show on a beautiful summer night. DBTs are a favorite of mine, but all three bands were good.

Was Jason Isbell touring with them?

No, no Isbell. and they didn't do any Isbell-DBT songs, although they did do some old favorites - Lookout Mountain, Sinkhole, Marry Me, etc.

Saw Ricky Skaggs (again), Aimee Mann, The Jayhawks, Superchunk, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts (for the millionth time).

Not super noteworthy, other than The Blackhearts are touring with Styx.

That's right - I fucking saw Styx live. I was seriously wasted. And I saw Styx.

I saw Styx.

Did I mention that I saw Styx? Well I did.

I saw JRAD (Joe Russo's Almost Dead) last week in Syracuse. Good show, really long (3 hours with no set break).

I saw them too - At Prospect Park in Brooklyn the other night. Great show.

Awesome Mags. Great show. Lamb of God is my favorite. I haven’t seen testement in 30 years.

I’m going to see Steel Panther in St Pete on August 16.
I’m also going to see Machine Head,Trivium, Howard Jones new band light the torch and Ghost this fall down here in Fla.

Yeah, it was pretty good. Strange seeing a show like that though for me. It was an outdoor show at a theme park in the Buffalo area. I'm guessing about 10K people there... maybe more. We were way out on the GA lawn section and had to rely on the video screens to see stuff. Good time though and ran in to a bunch of people I haven't seen in forever...

Saw that show in June. My friend bought third row center as a present for his nephew and I was lucky enough to go along.

Something I noticed was Arya lost a lot of weight from when I saw him a year ago. I hope he's not sick. They sounded great, as usual.

Yeah it was hard for me to tell on the lawn seats in an outdoor venue. They did sound really good live. Tight and Araya's voice was pretty flawless live...
