In terrible news, it has been confirmed that the Cadbury company (who bought out Canada Dry) which owns Coke/C'Plus in Canada has decided to NOT MAKE the infamous soda/pop WINK anymore, as of 6 weeks ago.
Rumors started flying of this when I went to visit my local grocery store to pick up my usual 12 pack of WINK and it was gone, and replaced on the shelf. I asked the manager and he said their distributor no longer stocks it.
Some phone calls to the head companies confirmed this story this week.
While WINK is still available in some outlets, and special orders, it will be phased out as this year comes to an end.

Used to drink that stuff all the time too...have the crappy teeth to prove it too. A few years back, tried one again and couldn't believe how sweet it was, instant toothache.

Mello Yello is still around. Had plenty of it recently while down in Missouri. I dont think its carried up north much. I`m in NY and havent seen it up here since I was a kid.

Honestly, you can mix gin with Wink 50/50 for your first drink and taste pretty much no booze at all...it will be missed.

Bingo!I remember when that shit came out we were hired to go out and deliver free samples door to door.My friend had about two hundred cases of that sitting in his carport.

You can talk all about those other fag soda/pop's all you want, nothing will compare to WINK.
As INSTIGATOR said, it will be missed...
For the record, its Tahiti Treat in Canada, a spin off of Tahitian Treat in the US. In the US, the mixture was declared as carbonated Fruit Punch. In Canada, Tahiti version was a very sophisticated blend of obscure fruits never matched up in pop before with the blend of CHERRY, and TANGERINE. Sold by the C'Plus company that ironically adopted Wink in the later years.
