Any of you guys got any favorite MMA books? I just recently picked up "Total MMA".
I'm sure Cotton has something to say on the topic

I've read several, but I think I like Randy Couture's book the best. The first Jens Pulver book is a good read as well.

the forrest griffin book is very funny. he does a great job of mixing in his humor with some technique and training info. i also read it with a bad attitude toward him after the silva fight and still laughed my ass off...

Rampage says he's coming back to finish out his contract and to shut Rashad's and Dana's mouths. Hopefully Rashad beats Silva and they can set this one up right away.

Southpaw- I don't want to root against you but I don't think Hamill has a very good chance in this fight. I don't blame you for taking the big odds but I think you'll lose the bet. Hamill's standup blows, he does have decent power but from a technique standpoint he's not good. Jones should easily beat him standing unless he gets caught. I've read a lot of people say Hamill is going to take him down and win the fight with his wrestling but 3 points on that:
1) Jones is a very good wrestler
4) Hamil rarely uses his wrestling anymore anyway
D) O'Brien is a very good wrestler and fought Jones in his last fight. O'Brien tried to take down Jones a couple times and failed miserably. Jones' takedown defense is very good.

Hamil is a better wrestler than O`brien and has a very quick shoot, not too mention his crazy retard stregnth. He will get Jones down enough to win control of the fight and earn a decision. Hamill has also proven to be a better finisher than Jones and wouldnt be surprised if he even catches him and it never gets to a decision. Jones could catch him as well, but this fight should be more of an even up line regardless. I will always take the great wrestler in a 3 rounder with odds like these.
Penn over Sanchez
Florian over Guida
Alexander over Slice
Edgar over Veach

Fair enough, we'll see. Hopefully you're right. I agree with the other 4 picks although I don't know a lot about Veach so it's probably not fair for me to pick against him.

Worlds Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski is making his MMA debut. Hope he has the speed and agility to keep from being KOed. Is a novelty, but apparently Mariusz is a very good athlete with some quickness and agility. He has some Karate training, but if he could grapple i imagine he could submit a guy in a number of ways just by squeezing.
I'd watch him, but I don't expect he'll do well against a good fighter.
