Is there any changes to the fighting... that any who played the demo noticed? Or is it untouched from last year?

Demo is out.
Loading it up as I type this.
EDIT: Didn't see MrB's post. I will now likely be disappointed.

Disappointment confirmed.
Gameplay seems slow, hitting has a delayed reaction from when you hit the stick on the controller to when the guy throws the hit in-game.
Fighting seems almost exactly the same. Maybe the punch speed and power are tuned down a bit to make them drag out longer.
From what I've played so far I'll be saving $60 and sticking with NHL '10.

I think the new format makes it harder to hit, makes you earn it. I guess I need to play it a few more times and see if it really does affect gameplay in a bad way.
I am guessing there will be a slider to make the speed of the game faster....but that's just a guess. Personally, I thought the speed was good, very sim and yes slower but I can hang with that
Again, to anyone who cares, yes the fighting still sucks....big time

Im pretty disappointed with the demo... but it is a demo after all & it still has time to be tweaked. I can't stand the FP fighting! They didn't seem to pay any attention to the fighting system! Just a little longer lasting fights, everything else in the fighting was exact!

How many people will be getting this Tuesday night?
I'll be setting up a team, so if you're interested, give me an idea of what position you prefer etc.

I'll be picking this up as well. Give me LD and I'll join the FC Team.

Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition.

Love to be on the FC team again, but this game just isn't enough improvement over '10 to justify the $60.
