I had a 1978 Honda Accord hatchback that i bought for a thousand bucks in 1987. Loved that car as it brought me back to Phoenix from Cali and it was the ultimate beater. Could basically fill it up with $20 and drive for two weeks. The radio would cut out and the dome light would flicker all the time. Had a carb leak that would make you gag and then a heater core leak that would drip antifreeze into the passenger side. A lot of good memories in that vehicle.

1966 Valiant 2dr hardtop.Bought it for $100.Smoked enough blue to give Al Gore a heart attack.Asked my dad for some scratch because I needed wheels,he gave me a twenty, and a story of how he left home with 50 cents in his pocket at 14.
I looked the car over,it was in decent shape for a 16 year old that would drive anything.
It was a smoker, lots of blue exhaust. As I made the deal with the guy,he then opened the trunk, lifted out a gallon of bulk oil and said"You'll be needing some of this,$2 bucks a gallon at the Turbo station,Red Ram bulk."
I eventually traded it for a dirt bike.It had a 225 one barrel straight six, the console shift, not the pushbutton that was being put out in/around those years.

1969 Chevy Pickup. Bought it for $1500.00 of my hard earned cash I made working at a local gas station at 18 years old. An absolute beauty set of wheels. Unfortunately I was too young and broke to maintain it properly and could keep up with the maintenece when things it needed it. I ended up selling it a year after buying it for 1/2 the price I bought it for.
I'd give anything to have it now!!

1973 AMC Javelin. Bright, ugly ass yellow with a black top. Dubbed 'the banana split' by the previous owner. I think I bought it for $500! And yeah, I miss that car too. I'll own another Javelin again some day.

1963 Volkswagen Beetle, with the whopping 1200cc motor and 40 horse if I was lucky. It could go anywhere. Miss that car. Paid $650.00 for it, and I was the fourth teenager to own it.

1973 Monte Carlo. Kids in high school with the Honda CRX's called it the "land yacht."
I wrecked it right in front of my high school, first day of Spring Break my senior year, 1990. I thought my dad was going to kill me but shockingly he was cool about it.

1986 Mustang LX. Piece of shit died on me in the middle of the highway the second day I owned it. Should've seen that as a sign of things to come and taken it back. Nothing but trouble, that car. That's what I get from breaking from family tradition of GM ownership.

I started driving my Dad's 79 black T-Bird for a couple of years, a big boat for sure, but fun ride.
My real first was a 85 Pontiac 6000, called her betsy.. the 4 doors was handy when driving around with friends.. she was a good car, got her really cheap and she kept me happy for a few years..
Driving a CRV now.. think next vehicle will be an F150 or like..

1969 Dodge Charger. Colors were Blue, grey primer and rust. Carb leaked and tranny slipped, but still a beast. Had a big wooden cross with "OZZY" painted on it jammed in my rear window. could fit a dozen friends in that boat, great party car.

1989 Toyota Corolla. I'd still have it if it wouldn't have been totaled by a guy running a stop sign. I have a scar across my nose to remind me.

Yes, but... what color were they all?
1995 Toyota Tercel (white). Had a real nice oil leak that only got worse over time, then later a blown gasket in the transmission, leading me to have to dump some leak-stop and transmission fluid in it almost every week until we quit driving it. Sold it for $100 a couple years ago.

A 1980 Chevy Monza two door stick shift. A cool little car that I took over from my older brother once he bought his 57 Chevy. After I totaled that car I asked my Dad to buy me another small, sporty stick shift car. What does he buy me? The complete opposite. A huge two door automatic boat 1976 Ford Granada. Lesson learned.
