He had the Humana right in his clutches. There's a very good reason why Charlie 3-sticks doesn't win. He can't putt when it's all on the line. Great swing, nice guy, average putter.

That 60 is really a 75 if you factor in Arizona taxes.

It is just a coincidence that TBS today is showing "Blades of Glory" right after McIlroy quit on the Bear Trap? The "Napoleon Dynamite" actor is named McIlroy in "Blades of Glory."

Personal question - Just bought a new driver and I'm tinkering with the idea of having it cut down about 1.5"
Anyone have any experience with this before? Either negative or positive?

It will change the swing weight and the overall weight of the club. Theoretically, it should be easier to control. It should reduce your swing speed a bit, but, contrary to popular opinion, you may actually increase your distance if you find the middle of the club face more often and increase ball speed.
The biggest thing I would consider is the feel of the club as you swing it.
I would see a clubfitter who has a launch monitor to see how the numbers add up if you're serious about your game.

Definately see a professional when it come to altering clubs. Performance differences can be seen when changing shaft lengths in even 1/4" increments. My irons are 1/2" longer and now my 7 iron hits like a 6 etc. If you like the driver, and it's worth the expense, I'd re-shaft it with a new shaft that can duplicate the old one but is shorter. 1 1/2" is a huge change, have you tried choking up slightly and hitting a few balls?

I've been fitted before. When I bought my Irons (AP2's) I ended up with them being bent upright 1 degree.
The driver I bought is the Stage2 Rocketballz, which comes in at 46" long. So longer than your standard driver. Just doesn't feel right in my hand now that I have it home.

Good driver. I play the Callaway Razr Hawk Tour also with a 46" shaft. I'm 6'4" so the length is good, although I can still choke up on it and hit it straight if I develop more fade than I like. Stock shafts are hit and miss I find, and I'm not sure what the RocketBallz comes with. The Adila on the Callaway was a tad whippy near the club head for me so I replaced it with the Proforce V2 which I really like. Plus, it gave me optimum launch angle so I gained some yardage. Drivers used to come with 44" shafts, the new longer shafts add more club head speed which add distance. The Stage 2 has a pretty hot face so a shorter shaft might not kill distance as bad. Golf is such a mental game, so if it doesn't feel right, it's not going to work. Try choking up a bit, if that doesn't help, look at a new shaft. For around $100 with a new premium grip it's well worth the comfort factor.
Turn and burn my friend!

Bought a new grip in anticipation of shortening the shaft. Stage 2 comes stock with the Fujikura 50 gram graphite shaft. It's stock to promote a faster swing speed. I usually clock in at 105-107 mph on driver head speed so I'm not really concerned with distance, although I do enjoy hitting a long ball. Would just like to hit more fairways and feel more comfortable with the shorter shaft. If I lose 5-10 yards, but hit a few more fairways per round, that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
Thanks for the feedback fellas, enjoy the year.
