Not a whole lot of action in this one. A few decent short punches by both guys but they had had a grip at one another's elbows which significantly stifiles the power you put on those short shots. I thought McLeod landed the better shots, but they were nothing special, a couple of short right uppercuts, Konopka came over the top with a couple of glancers and kinda pushed the pace toward the finish but didn't really land much of anything. It wasn't complete shit, but wasn't much better than that and certianly wasn't too exciting. Draw.
Really sucks that Kassian wasn't playing, spoiling what would have been the heavyweight matchup of the night. Z took the faceoff against Bordeleau but instead of tying up with him from the draw, he turned away and chased down McLeod. Perhaps a bit of a spot pick but Z's the veteran NHLer now and would be a serious underdog against Bordeleau, getting his ass kicked doesn't really help his team so it went after the fight he was more likely to win. Can't hold that against him. At this point it's on Bordeleau to make that fight happen and I doubt Z would back down, but given his choice he went with McLeod and the fight pretty much sucked, maybe a baby step above shit fight draw status. Oh Well.
