Super Bowl party….make a French Onion Dip from scratch. Very easy actually. All you need is some good potato chips with the recipe below:
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Heat oil over medium heat; add the onions and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Cook and stir until the onions are caramelized. Remove the onions from the heat and cool.
Mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, pepper, and remaining salt. Stir in the onions when they are cool. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours (or more).

Chipotle sauce. Quite cromulent and will embiggen any food. Especially good on fries.
1 jar mayonnaise (low-fat is fine)
1 can chipotles in adobo (small can with small jar of mayo, larger can with larger jar)
Splash of milk for better consistency
Open. Mix. Done.

I'm thinking about salsa.
Mango, or corn based. Anyone have recipes, or suggestions?

Crispy Rueben Roll-ups
Dressing
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup minced green onions
2 tablespoons drained chopped capers
Reuben
1 medium onion, diced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil plus extra for brushing (we use butter instead of oil to saute the onions and olive oil to brush over the top)
8 oz rinsed and drained saurkraut
8 large flour tortillas
11/2 cups grated swiss cheese
12 oz pastrami thinly sliced
preheat oven to 400
In a saute pan, saute the onion in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil until lightly browned, or however done you want them. Add the saurkraut and cook another 2 minutes. Spread each tortilla with 1/4 cup of cheese, a few slices of pastrami and about 1/4 cup of the onion and saurkraut mixture. We microwave the tortillas for about 10 seconds before so they'll be easier to roll.
Roll the tortillas up jelly-roll style and lightly brush with vegetable oil. place on large baking sheet and bake until lightly browned on the outside and melted on the inside. approx 10 minutes. Cut each roll on the diagonal into 6 pieces. Serve with Russian dressing for dipping.
