Konopka vs Clune. Short Decent fight, Konopka gets Clune bent down and feeds him a few shots. They get in close and grab on. Z is old school in the first game he took a high sick to the nose and got 30 stitches but is still willing. Crazy. Edge Konopka.
I see Blue! . . . He looks glorious!

Good scrap. Konopka put it on him pretty good early and had Clune in a fair bit of trouble with him hunched over and being fed punches. Credit to Clune for preventing it from turning into a total beatdown, he managed to get Konopka contained and landed a couple in return toward the end to save face a little bit but Z clearly got the better of this one. Win Konopka.

Not only is the NHL totally fucked it's fans are out to lunch now as well

Cool description by you like always you does a good post as you are my fav poster(too).
I am gonna say this is a draw bec Konopka taking control in early going but Clune bloodied up him at the end as i think Konopka got stunnef a bit from that punch too.
Konopka is very active in a fightning.
He can play a solid shift too.
There wasnt much of any hugging but a bit in middle of scrap until Konopka got room but got punched badly to the face.

juha I am pretty sure Konopka got bloodied up because he had stiches on his face from his previous game. Not too hard to bleed when someone is punching you in the face that's stiched up.

Give him credit though, the guy is a Warrior. Where has Kassian been? Aren't these 2 guys on the same line?
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition.

Kassian has been scratched the last 3 games.

Konopka had 30 stiches to his face the other night from a high stick. The dude is a warrior for sure, fighting with a broken nose and stiched up face.

Yeah, you have to love guts of Konopka.
Incredible he drops gloves with that cut on his face. Huge props to him. Wish NHL had more guys like him.
