PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Hartnell is expected to miss four to eight weeks because of a broken left foot.
Hartnell, an All-Star last season, was injured by a shot taken by teammate Kimmo Timonen in Tuesday's game against New Jersey. Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren made the announcement before Thursday night's game against the New York Rangers.
Hartnell had one point in three games. He led the Flyers with 37 goals last season and had 67 points.
The Flyers are still without forward Danny Briere (broken left wrist). Holmgren says it's 50-50 Briere will be available for this weekend's games at Florida and Tampa Bay.

Didn't Knuble get maintenance days last season? I know he didn't play all 82, and I don't remember him being hurt. Maybe he was just benched a lot for sucking. Stupid signing.

For knowing his potential it isnt best season by him but i am not sure was he 1-2 liner or more 3-4 liner so his first job isnt to score high points but blocks his opponents for eliminating their changes to score.
If he played in lower lines so i understand very well that he cant score up much bigger points than 17 and he is old guy and out of his prime though.
If he works hard for the defense and throws up 10 goals in defensive role so its ok but if he get playing in higher lines so he needs to throw up about such like 15-25 goals and he has succeed well in his role.

Hartnell is such a douche but he's improved his game.
Man talk about what have you done for me latley. Knuble gives you guys 4 seasons of 20-30 goals, unquestioned leadership and other intangibles and you look at him as shit on your shoes. Granted he is in the final stages of his career he provides some grit and veteran leadership. I loved the guy during his time in Washington. He was in Hunter's doghouse for the 2nd half of last season and was a regular HS, hence his 18 points. Who would you have rather had? Scott Gomez? You can have Eric Fehr if you want him. He's a true turd.

Excellent question, even though I have always hated Arnott for being a fraud PF. He did have 17 goals last season and is 2 year younger.

Yea I'm surprised Arnott hasn't been snatched up yet. Thought he got a tryout with Vancouver?

So with Briere back, Knuble now playing and Lavy liking him some McGinn, it appears Shelley and Sestito are on the outs again. With Hartnell out, that leaves the team a bit softer. McGinn and Simmonds will have to step up.
