Stuart nails Landeskog with an open ice hit....looked to get a high elbow.

Ryan O'Byrne off all guys makes a B-line for Stuart, and proceeds to work over Stuart....never saw O'Byrne get mad like that.

O'Byrne gets 19 minutes. Sharks score 2 goals....yay New NHL.

San Jose announcers make me want to slam my dick in a car door.

They say Landeskog had his head down and Stuart hit him with his shoulder and not his elbow. Then they question why O'Byrne wants to fight Stuart....fuckin morons.

Exactly!!! "Why do we have this stuff at this level?" Because he just fucking nailed Landeskog and O'Byrne did the right thing. I don't even think Stuart threw a punch easy win for O'Byrne.

Too funny!Rycroft on the Avs between period show said the exact opposite. Said that Stuart left his feet, made contact with elbow to the head and that O'Byrne did the right thing! Added that it's a shame O'Byrne didn't get more punches in :-). Damn, would love to see more like that from O'Byrne.

Landeskog left the ice immediately after the hit and went to the dressing room, he's back now but he wasn't ok.

The hit was clean, but Landeskog skates pretty compactly, so the head was the principal point of contact. Remenda's constant babbling about not fighting after clean hits is really annoying. He's not an anti fighting guy; I don't really understand why that is such a big deal to him, but he's been going on about it for years.

San Jose's lack of fighting is lame, but I think it's more a product of them walloping teams these first four games. They're not facing any adversity.

So far it is a really bad idea to pu SJ on the PP, because they are just burying teams.

It looks like McLaren's days are numbered. Hopefully it's Sheppard who gets sent down since SJ doesn't have anybody that can do what McLaren can, while Sheppard is not unique in any way at this level.

I forgot what a terrible fighter Stuart was. Jesus. Decisive victory to O'Byrne.
