Two quick fights

Mike Brown and Asham go rock 'em sock 'em and Asham goes down. Win Brown

On ensuing faceoff Orr and Rupp drop them. Clear win Orr as he pounds Rupp to the ice and keeps firing away.

Orr is still my favorite NHL fighter by far

Looked to me from first viewing like a KD win Brown over Asham. Brown goes lefty and sneaks a nice shot in.

Orr and Rupp go off the ensuing face off with Rupp having the early advantage throwing a barrage of punches. Orr looks to land a solid right that gets Rupp on the defensive who eventually goes to the ice with Orr raining punches. Will wait to give my verdict when I see if that Orr punch landed clean.

Orr and Rupp looked close to me..

Rupp landed best punches of the fight, not sure Orr's last flurry landed at all.

Didn't see Brown and Asham.

Did that last big punch by Orr land? He definitely took over at the end. Win Orr.

Two fights within the first 5 minutes of the game

Brown-Asham

Both guys grab on tight and start unloading rapid fire rights. Brown's punches seem to have more force and Asham falls backwards. Win Brown. Nice fight

Almost immediately after..
Orr-Rupp
Rupp is lined up opposite Orr with his gloves ready to shed. Rupp keeps Orr away with the reach advantage. They trade rights with Rupp throwing about 4 unanswered ones Orr uncorks a solid right that stuns Rupp who then starts to go down. Orr keeps throwing as Rupp goes to his knees.

Win Orr in another great showing.

After a super slo-mo replay, it looked like the Orr punched didn't really land and went left of the face of Rupp. Rupp didn't bail but more of a balance change that caused him to go down.

Win Brown in a quick good fight.

I could not see if the punch landed by Orr or not. Rupp landed a nice right cross. Rupp went down with a flurry of punches. Win Orr.
I see Blue! . . . He looks glorious!

Win Brown via KD on first view. Great job of switching hands.

Rupp was doing pretty well early on using his reach to his advantedge but Orr took over at the end with a pretty big flurry and Rupp went to cover up. Win Orr.

Asham 0 for 2 as a Ranger. Trying to make an early impression but not impressing many with his performances. Still love the way the guy plays the game.

I only saw one live look. Brown takes it to Asham. Rupp started out well, but was overwhelmed by Orr at the end. I couldn't tell if any of those last punches by Orr landed, but they caused Rupp to lose his balance.
Devils John Madden being interviewed:
Interviewer- How does it feel to cover Gomez?
Madden- I don't know. I don't cover 3rd line centers.

Rangers have 8 fights in 4 and 1/3 games so far. One win.

Campbell fight was a draw or narrow win at best.

Call the Campbell fight a win if you want. Then they're 2-5-1. Satisfied?

Fraser just challenged Boyle after he laid out a Leaf behind the net. No dice on that battle, but hopefully more to come.
