Gio is the only surprise there. Wow.
I will say it again, players rehabbing from injury should be a lowed a certain level and type of steroids and PED. Regulate it and monitor it.

Gio and his father have both made statements denying any wrongdoing. The latter saying "my son is as clean as apple pie."

Why the hell wouldn't ARod hire me to buy all his PEDs for him? Shit like this either doesn't make sense, or speaks to the complete lack of intelligence of some baseball players.

So, when do the Yankees move to nullify Arod's contract? And how quickly?

If it's proven he did PEDs after 2003, I believe the Yanks can try and get the rest of his contract voided. Every person in the Yankee brass hopes it's true. They might have even planned this out. I would have. Fuck this guy.

I don't see the MLBPA allowing A-Rod's contract to be nullified even if he is a piece of shit. That would have to be something added to the next CBA.

slippery slope. I think you need a stronger policy
So how would you do this? Lots of players use PEDs in the off season or out of competition. Without a formal disabled list or injured reserve list, what would be the control point or the parameters for when someone can or can't use? When an out of competition test is taken and records a positive, what would be the response from the athlete? I'm rehabbing? I think a zero tolerance policy is the best and the only manageable one. Thoughts?

A few articles say they're trying/investigating to do it already. As much as I'd like it do happen, not much of a chance. While he's listed, he didnt actually fail a drug test. If they're a 'moral clause' in the contract, that may their best shot; but if it's the standard that's in most MLB contracts, likely dont stand a chance.

I think MLB needs to test off-season as well. As far as I know, they don't. But that doesn't address the issue of using it to recover from injury. I imagine it would require a massive amount of supervision and testing from MLB and I am not sure they are willing or able to do it.
But getting players to recover from injury in half the time is very advantages for the league, the player and the fans. The questions are... is there a fine line between recovering quickly from an injury and gaining an edge? And where is that line? I believe there is a fine line...but it would take a guy like Victor Conte to figure out where it is.
