The first that comes to mind is The English Beat's "I Just Can't Stop It," which sounds as fresh today as it did when it was released in 1980.

Some albums pain me to not to be able to include on this list. Paul Simon's "Graceland" is timeless, but the snare drums that sound like gunshots are a pure product of the 1980's.

"London Calling" still sounds awesome 30+ years later. You wouldn't be able to tell when it was recorded unless someone told you.

Give me some others, but know that 80's metal albums sound like 80's metal albums. So no sale there.
Is Roy Innis gonna have to choke a bitch?!

Neil Young's Harvest Moon

XTC Black Sea. XTC had enough variety in their sound and vocals, and just odd enough to not be boxed in with the typical 80s new wave sound.

London Calling has to be one of the best albums of all time - good call.

Some of the classic jazz albums have stood the test of time especially Coltrane's Giant Steps and Bill Evan's Waltz For Debby
"This ends tonight!"
"It's daytime you douche."

Weezers blue album. So 90's in its content, but easy top 5 in that decade. I could also add Siamese Dream to that list as its a totally complete album, and so sonically different from the rest of that era that I consider it timeless.

Kolmas Nainen-Hyvää ja kaunista
All Queen albums
few by Abba
almost all of Black Sabbath
some by KISS like Unplugged live-album is the one

Kolmas Nainen music is adult-rock with deep lyric and melody as i dont love any "party-music" and the music which is airy and commercial.

The Police - Outlandos D'Amour (stylish UK pop/punk) Reggatta De Blanc also.

Joy Division- Unknown Pleasures (garage twang never sounded so good)

On a side note, did anybody have less fun being a rock star than Ian Curtis?
I see orange people.
