I don't know if you guys saw what happened, but last night Hall threw a knee-on-knee and took Clutterbuck out. Hall was assessed a major and a game misconduct.

Pretty lame that the refs jumped in to separate Hall from the pack. He should've gotten his ass kicked on the spot.

Thanks for the video, Tim. I had read about it, but had not seen it. I think it is a pretty blatant attempt to injure. Hall should get a number of games, but will probably only get 1.
Just think if the hit had been the other way around. Cluttterbuck would be done for the year.

Dirty hit I thought. The puck was 10 feet from him. Hall should get a bunch of games but will probably only get 1-3.
The Wild won but played the most pussy game every. Eager was running around hitting everything and Rupp did nothing, same for Stonner. It was fucking pathetic to watch them get pushed around by them.

You guys think Hall was trying to hurt Clutterbuck's knees? I didn't see the game and I don't know of any history between them, so I can only go from the video, but I thought it was more reckless and boneheaded than intent to injure.

I would love to see Hall get his ass kicked. I never liked Clutterbuck, but that is a dirty play. Cooke or Torres does that and they're looking at 30 games.

Dirty hit that he will have to answer for at some point.

Really? Shit should have been addressed right there. I would be shocked if Hall is ever held accountable by the Wild.

Konopka would jump him if no one else steps up, I'm sure. I doubt Taylor would square up with anyone tougher than Koivu.

Ya really. He was escorted off the ice by the zebras pretty quickly. I think he will answer for the hit, it was dirty.

Clutter is not dirty, IMO. He hits plenty but he plays hard and clean. That was a dirty hit. Clutter is probably done for the year.
Reason # 1,000,456 why we need the instigator back. Hall would think twice about dirty hits like that if Rupp was able to enforce.

I hate Clutterbuck, but I will say that the guy tries to make his hits clean, like Dustin Brown. Of course, if you hit as much as those guys, you'll have a few borderline hits to your resume. But the game is better for them.
That was a chickenshit hit by Hall and probably the worst knee on knee hit I've seen in several years. It should be 5 games, but will probably only garner 1-3 as already stated.

Clutterbuck is not a dirty player. He does a good job of keeping his hits clean. Like stated above, with the amount of hits he takes, a few will be questionable. But I do believe he tries to play an honest game.
The Mild are a putrid franchise. They cannot shake the Lemaire culture. No matter who coaches or plays, they will be close to last in scoring and close to last in fights. They do not stick up for the teammates. The response on this hit was atrocious at best. What a disgrace! Mike Yeo is a fucking joke.
This is a prime example why the instigator needs to go..... not that the Mild would have done anything anyways though.

What does this mean exactly? Are you implying that Clutterbuck is a dirty/cheap player?

I saw a Wild player give him a half ass love tap. They had a chance to do something there, nobody did. They also had the rest of the night to make Oilers take notice and did nothing.
I hope I am wrong, but 2 points will be important the next time they play.

Honestly, at that moment, how many of the Wild on the ice do you think knew how bad that hit was in time for them to get at Hall before the zebras whisked him away? Watch that replay again, looking at the other Wild players and what they were doing at the time of the hit. Do I wish somebody beat his ass? Yup. Now when they meet again, I'd be disappointed if someone didn't make Hall answer the bell for a cheapshot. That responsibility probably lies with Kenopka, and I think he'll do his job. It's also Halls responsibility to accept the challenge.
