What openers have stole the show from the headliners? The # of the beast, Blackout tour with Maiden/Scorpions, was headlined by the latter but I thought Maiden put on a better show and may have stolen it. Ironically when IM came back on the Piece of mind tour, Saxon opened and seemed to take it IMO. Both shows were A1 by both bands and I thought my Iron Maiden loyalty may have gave them the nod against the Scorpions. In both instances the show wasn't stolen, but slightly better.

An old friend saw Wide Mouth Mason open up for ZZtop and said they blew them off the stage, wasn't even close.(He is a guitar player, I have trouble whistling ..haha) We were going to go to this but got I sidetracked.

I heard Aerosmith used to be brutal for this in their drugin days. My brother went to a show where ACDC with Bon Scott opened for them.

Dang I was going to meniton AC/DC kickin' everyone else's ass, mainly Aerosmith. That one show Van Halen followed AC/DC and those first two were easily out rockin' Aerosmith, Pat Travers and whomever.

Many years ago, youngsters, I saw Elvin Bishop ("Fooled around and fell in love") and the opening act was a new "unknown" band that none of us had ever heard before.....Lynyrd Skynyrd. You can't even imagine.....

The old Palace Theater in Dayton, Ohio, circa 1975, give or take....

The times I've seen Ozzy the opening band was always better. (Metallica, Anthrax and Mötley Crüe)

Not to keep dumping on Ozzy but.....I went to Ozzy a few years back and Rob Zombie was the opening act. Zombie was a 1000 times better.

Marillion opening for Rush was a close affair, a LOT of fans thought Fish stole the show.

Great memories!

Went to the Journey concert a couple of weeks ago and they had Loverboy opening for them and they were pretty good. If probably would have been a little better if the lead singer wasn't fat and old so that he could move around the stage more
Bruce Campbell didn't play Rambo because he doesn't do autobiographical movies.
