Tomorrow the Kings will honor Ian Laperriere with a "Legend Night" promotion. I think its really cool that they're honoring a true "character" guy like Lappy, who certainly is deserving. Here's a brief interview with Ian about it: http://lakingsinsider.com/2013/02/22/a-conversa tio...

Cool to hear that Lappy is getting recognized "officially". Always a fan favorite in LA. Some of his off the ice videos and behind-the-scenes videos were hilarious.

Always one of my favorites. I wish I got to see him play live. Terrible way to end his career, sacrificing it all for the team, and coming up just short. He's a guy who deserves the Cup.

Glad he's being recognized by the Kings. I wonder if the Flyers have something in mind for him too.

Loved him with the Kings and Avalanche.

I wonder if he finally got his nose fixed.

He said he was going to after his career, before he retired.

I didn't notice during that movie he was in...

Loved him when he started out with the Blues and was sad to see him go. He was always entertaining. I remember Twist trying to teach him how to fight in training camps.

Lappy is a great guy. Dustin Brown said he took him under his wing his first year. Lappy also said in a interview recently that his worst team mate ever was Sean Avery when they asked him best and worst.

Another great player that the Rangers tossed aside.

I'm still mad the Avs let him go and signed Darcy Tucker. Pretty classy of the Kings do it when the Avs were in town. They did the same with Deadmarsh.

Video of the ceremony.
