Thornburn/Simmonds
Behind the play they drop them. Nothing much. A bunch of missed punches. Simmonds gets his right stuck int he jersey. Thornburn lands a short right. Simmonds gets his left lose and lands a left and they both tumble to the ice. DRAW
Kane/L Schenn
Behind the play again they drop them after Schenn lays two hits on Kane during a shift. They square up and trade with Kane thrown rights and Schenn lefts. Schenn is landing better and they tumble to the ice. WIN Schenn
Very physical 1st period, so we might be more. Rinaldo is hitting everything and Hartnell clearly wants to start shit in his first game back.

Simmonds-Thorburn draw, nothing landing
Schenn-Kane draw, looks like an even exchange to me. Appears Kane lands that 1st punch and Schenn connects with one of his own.

Nice win by Schenn... looked real good. Stood back and threw straight left and ragdolled Kane. Draw in the Simmonds/Thorburn fight.

The Flyers need a fucking heavweight. It's getting ridiculous. I love Wayne Simmons, but he's fighting fairly tough guys almost every night. That is just plain stupid from a Philly standpoint.

Simonds with the Gordie Howe hat-trick again today. That's two in the last 3 games. My favorite player in the league right now.

Draw in both fights from what I could see. Camera work in both was for shit so I could be wrong.
I agree with Steeles about Simmonds. He gets it he plays the game hard and plays it right good on him

Last year, I sent a letter to Holmgren about the pussy lineup-A week after I sent the letter, he brought up Sesitio and we had an entertaining team for a while. Did the same yesterday. Not that it had anything to do with it, but letters to him, not emails, may work. Have to hope.

I guess he couldn't find a lesser opponent today......Shouldn't Rinaldo be fighting the Jets toughest guy instead of Simmonds?.........

Simmonds is one of my favorites in todays game. Great player, great fighter. Not a lot of players these days that you can call old school and really mean it.
Draw against Thornburn here, a solid result against an underrated fighter. If Thornburn played for a more high profile team like the bruins or flyers I think he would be a FC-favorite. Wish he would fight more though.

Simmonds is a great fighter? He throws punches like an elderly lady throws her purse at a ruffian.

In today's NHL guys like Simmonds, Lucic, and Clarkson should be celebrated. I think Simmonds is an above average fighter. Unfortunately, Lavy is going to shorten his career.

Agreed. He would be held in the same regard as Prust and Asham.

Nine straight games without a fight for Rinaldo. Six different Flyers have fought since his last major. Good thing their #2 forward had to try to spark the team by challenging the Jets toughest player when they came out flat.
