Saw him when the Caps called him up when Bryan Murray was the Coach. He was a big body who would play physical -- initiate contact -- and at least had a mean streak in him, something the Capitals at that time, sorely lacked. He was mostly a hugger, and if he tried to open up he often got tuned. He always tried to stay in close and throw the short punches. Glad to see him get called up but not much of a fighter. He did not scare Dave Brown or the heavies.
Considering how big he was he fought pretty smart, his in tight strategy worked well against Brown, Miller, and Playfair, 3 guys who would smoke him if they opened up. Remember he tried to open up with both Kocur and Odjick and got dropped by both.
