Blackhawks in 5.
Wild in 7. I think this could go either way but having home ice will help the Wild.
I see Blue! . . . He looks glorious!

I called a friend of mine in DC and he is a big Caps fan. He said, "Chicago played like sh.. down the stretch" which is why he was picking them to lose in the second round. I assured him it was because they had the West. sewn up and were resting people. So yeah hopefully they throw the switch and wake up and win this series.

Yeah they're the only team to get shout out twice in a row, no wait.

"They really need to win this one!"

I haven't watched much of this series as the others are better. What I have seen is Rinne standing on his head. He is the only Pred still lacing them up for N'ville from the 2010 team and he is the Finnish goalie, so he was bound to steal one sometimes.

So now with the Caps and 'Hawks down does anyone have an idea as to who will hoist Lord Stanley's Cup?

Suban is going Byfuglien on Chicago, but in a Dman's way.

Hawks look like they're going downhill. Toewes Kane Hossa Keith Seabrook all look old and tired. The only good new talent is Panarin. No grit whatsoever, at least they used to have guys like Bollig and Bickell and Buf. All gone, little soft euros instead.

Nashville's at least got several new talents that emerged this year, and have the grit when needed in McLeod, Watson, Bitetto.

Nashville actually looks to be that much better. Hawks with THREE goals in the entire series.

That core group for the Hawks has played a lot of hockey in the last couple years. I agree on the no grit part.

The only more shocking playoff series lately was when the got eliminated by the 'Yotes. N'ville had as many rookies a couple of years ago when they won the Div but got eliminated early. Knowing Chicago they aren't going to rest the core players as they are paying them a lot of money.

The difference being that the Nashville newbies all went crazy in this series, and were actually better than the Chicago vets / big names.

Forsberg, Arvidsson, Jarnkrok, Fiala, Watson, Ellis, Aberg, Zolnierczyk....were all beasts in this series.

Neal, Fisher, Subban, Josi.....really didn't have to do much.

I'd guess that it has a lot to do with Lavvy. He may have ups and downs just like Suter, Torts, Babcock...but like them, when his system is working and he's plugged in just the right guys.....everybody just gets better and meshes.

That's what happened in this series. Guess it's not happening for Queneville at the moment.

Lotta people are marveling at how Lavvy went out and got seemingly AHL schmucks like Harry Z and Matt Irwin, but they had already played for him, know the system, and are big pieces now.

Spooner gets his useless ass sat down and Kuraly scores 2 including the game winner. Unfortunately Krejci left the game after another knee on knee hit so Spooner will return I'm afraid.
