The difference being that the Nashville newbies all went crazy in this series, and were actually better than the Chicago vets / big names.
Forsberg, Arvidsson, Jarnkrok, Fiala, Watson, Ellis, Aberg, Zolnierczyk....were all beasts in this series.
Neal, Fisher, Subban, Josi.....really didn't have to do much.
I'd guess that it has a lot to do with Lavvy. He may have ups and downs just like Suter, Torts, Babcock...but like them, when his system is working and he's plugged in just the right guys.....everybody just gets better and meshes.
That's what happened in this series. Guess it's not happening for Queneville at the moment.
Lotta people are marveling at how Lavvy went out and got seemingly AHL schmucks like Harry Z and Matt Irwin, but they had already played for him, know the system, and are big pieces now.
