Amazingly, I don't recall a thread here about the original dirty ol' man. Anyone else here a fan growing up? I figured many of us here were young bucks from that era. My friends & I would stay up all night watching this guy and hope for a tittie slip here & there. Tears in our eyes laughing so hard. Some people had a hard time understanding his accent in his songs, but not us. No way in hell a show like that could be on TV these days. We still quote certain lines and every once in awhile bust out the Benny Hill slap on top of someone's head like he did all the time to the bald old man. What a horn-dog he was and we loved him for it. Growing up, there were two theme songs that me and my buds stop whatever we were doing and immediately run to the TV set and sit. The Hockey Night In Canada intro and The Benny Hill song.

Devoted Benny Hill watcher in my early teens.... I'm sure on re-run. Wasn't he on in 70's through mid 80's?

Loved Benny Hill and watched it throughout the '70s and '80s. I loved it when he cracked himself up and had to hold it together during a song parody.

I've always liked him. Some of it is a little cheesy, but for the time it was made it is very entertaining. I actually enjoy some of the old acts that he had perform on the show.

Some of the bits get worn out, but it is not something I'll turn off.

A while back I was able to acquire the entire series and will watch an episode from time to time. Same thing with the 3 stooges.

Loved him growing up, remember seeing titties on late night regular tv because of Benny Hill.

FT mentioned seeing the titties and I believe it was the first time I saw a garter belt on television or ever for that matter. It was risqué at the time. Awesome comedic talent. The Queen was a big fan and they had had social meetings. The Boots Randolph sax tune will forever remind me of Benny Hill.

You couldn't beat having Benny Hill and Monty Python out there in the 70's / 80's. UK was ruling the comedy world at that point.

I think Benny died with no family to leave money to.

I watched it for the garters and stockings as a kid.
