Don't tell me.... somebody said he's a pussy who doesn't have the balls to fight McGregor in McGregor's ring... and he went immediately to the race card.

Am I close ?

This interview was made like 8-9 years ago when a lot of boxers made similar comments on the topic (Hopkins etc). A lot of them changed their tune over the years, not sure about Mayweather.

I think he tried to sponsor a couple of MMA fighters and was talking about joining the business, but not sure it materialized at all.

Absolutely. This is when the UFC was actually taking over boxing as the premier sport and it's very peak, before all of their Legends collapsed in one way or another and were forced to rebuild.

If there's one thing I have learned about Mayweather over the years, as much as I dislike him, you cannot underestimate the guy's intelligence. He is an extraordinary really bright man for an athlete and knows how to get the best payday, the win with the least risk. I wouldn't doubt he was setting up a boxing match with a hyped MMA fighter when he said this.

He's a black guy, that's beaten women and went to jail for it, and only cares about making money.

Just stating the facts.

Intelligent? Maybe. Semi-literate? Definitely.
