Can someone sane explain to me why the NHS in Britain is continuing to try to kill young Alfie?

The hospital, a judge and the weight of the British government are conspiring to kill a little boy.

Alfie has some kind of rare brain disorder and the British government took it upon themselves to decide he is better off dead than cared for.

The Italian government made Alfie a citizen, and has a medical transport on hand to airlift him to Italy for treatment.

The hospital, however, kicked out a medical transport team from Italy.

See here: http://www.lifenews.com/2018/04/25/hospital-k icks-...

WTF?

Poor kid is a religious/political scoring opportunity.

Last I read, the Italian hospital had reviewed the charts and said that they couldn't do anything for the child. That article is quite different. Sounds pretty shitty. I get the part about a public health system not being economically responsible if they expend millions on life support for a human in a near-vegetative state, but for them to go out of the way to prevent someone else from taking on the burden of care is monsterous.

Being familiar with the American medical system I find this to be the very confusing.

Treatment or lack of treatment must be consented to by the patient or healthcare power of attorney in the case that the patient cannot make decisions on their own.

There are cases of implied consent which in my experience has always been in the form of attempting to preserve life.

Other notes of interest to me:

He is banned from being flown to Italy. Is that akin to being made prisoner of the state?

The Pope has access to military helicopters. That just seems bizarre to me.

I thought everything / anything medicine was supposed to "do no harm".

Early on, these sorry bureaucrat cunts were holding the kid under house arrest, starving him to death. They've given in only slightly, after huge anger worldwide.

That's USSR / Cuba / Mugabe shit. Way to go, fucking England. What a shocking descent to shit, from greatness.

You refer to the Hippocratic Oath that the Doctor's take. At least here in America, I don't know how it works in England.

But at least in America consent is required to do things like this. I don't necessarily disagree that removing him from life support is the wrong decision, but doing so without informed consent and when there is the potential for other treatment is a huge deal to me. I suppose the rules are much different over there.

What is appalling to me is that the government won’t let the family move their child from the hospital that is intent on killing the boy.

What is the downside to letting a different country accept responsibility for the care of the child?

It makes zero sense.

I put myself in the parent’s place here. I don’t know what I would do if it were my child.

I sense there is more to this than the British government lets on.

Perhaps it is a loss of face for the socialist algorithm healthcare system?

What would happen if other families saw that Alfie received treatment in another country?

How many of them would likely seek healthcare elsewhere?

It is weird to me that you can board a plane out of Britain to be euthanized in another country, but face the wrath of the government if you seek life.

Agreed, I don't understand what the point is of barring treatment from another source.

Nothing dispels the illusion of freedom as much as this does.

Not to inject another conspiracy theory into the mix (OK, I will), but the Vatican is at the tip of the spear of many Cabal/Elitist/Supreme Ruler theories.

But I'm 100% with you guys on this. Is the UK going to reverse course only after determining how to save face? That horse has left the barn. I'm ordinarily a "rules are rules" kind of guy. But this is virtually undefendable.

I’ve got stories for you about the Vatican.

Malachi Martin wrote about intrigue there.

Windswept House is a good book to read of his.

Oftentimes, "rules are rules" is a convenient way to maintain cover for previous outrages, f-ups, and disgusting corruption.

I'm smelling that here.

For the UK to do something respectable at this point, would hi-light the BS of criminals and rotten bastards previously.

Wow, scary ironic synchronicity -

What's it all about Alfie
Is it just for the moment we live
What's it all about when you sort it out Alfie
Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind
And if only fools are kind, Alfie
Then I guess it Is wise to be cruel
And if life belongs only to the strong Alfie
What will you lend on an old golden rule
As sure as I believe there's a heaven above Alfie
I know there's something much more
Something even non-believers can believe in
I beIieve in love, Alfie
Without true love we just exist Alfie
Until you find the love you've missed you're nothing Alfie
When you walk let your heart lead the way
And you'll find love any day Alfie

Regards to Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick

Surely someone's thought of this before me.......

Thanks for thinking of me again, but I actually rarely post in this forum at all. Your act is pretty tired.

Your act is defunct, and always worthy of a joke.

There are 2.5 of you that still can't figure it out, or just won't, refuse to.

Most people at the age of 60, have given up trying to initiate fictitious arguments with strangers on the internet to boost their self esteem. I guess there’s still hope for you yet, but time is running out.

Good thing I'm still rather shy of 60 then. I'll let you know when I reach your important "rule for everyone, especially those who will not agree with my picture of utopia".

In case you hadn't noticed, the internet is a unique little place where people with silly ideas, who formerly had no place to mumble them, can now preach and gyrate to their hearts content.

And also where rational adults can have a little fun with them.

Thank you for the laughs, my .5 friend.
