Very interesting fundraising idea.

Apparently he will walk around and people will stuff dollar bills in his pants.

More of today's simply remarkable dem / left / prog, infantile insanity.

They don't care that the guy is an absolute piece of garbage, barely out of jail, barely solvent, living every last cliche that makes lawyers look like shit.

Nope, all that matters to them is the opportunity to squeal "hahahahahaha he hates Trump so we love him !"

It's shocking how moronic and worthless they are. And don't care that this is their station in life.

I seen this tool on Twitter. It's amazing to believe that this guy is the leader of anything. A total Lionel Hutz, and he sits around on his computer or his phone disrespecting one of the most respected legal minds in the United States in Alan Dershowitz and his legion of followers lap it up.

This seems like a good thread to discuss McCain.

I just never knew that he was Washington + Lincoln + Ike + JFK + Reagan. But now I know this, thanks to the Sunday morning teevee shows.

I haven't seen a slideshow of such poignant, loving photos since the baby Trayvon show.

Seems like McCain was the second greatest American ever, right after Ted Kennedy.

All you have to do is hate Reagan or Trump, to win those honors.

And you even have carte Blanche to kill a girl, blow up a ship full of planes by fucking around, travel to USSR to get help in a campaign against Reagan, create and help ISIS to start up a war. And this doesn't even hurt your "greatest ever" title !

John McCain was despised by the left for years, but they really turned the corner with him him after he unintentionally sandbagged the 2008 election for Mr. Hope and Change.

I don't hate him and I'm not going to ridicule him after his passing, but he was definitely a prime example for term limits and will remain to be so for many many years.

In many ways, his political views weren't that far outside of Hillary Clinton's. Him and the Bush's and Hillary and Bill, to a lesser extent, embody the Neocon generation inspired by Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon, that has turned most conservatives into populists or libertarians.

If democracy is working in one way, it is the diminishing popularity of the Neo cons for the ceaseless foreign policy mistakes overseas.

Good post. If you want a chuckle, check out the very classy tweet from Ocasio-Cortez's page. There are tons of blue check marks who are raking her over the coals. How dare she take the high road and offer a nice comment for a war hero and decade-long public servant?! Civility is dead.

McCain became a PIA the last few years, but he served his country and seemed like an overall decent person. There are far worse.

BTW, his mom is still alive at 106. Odds she lives another year?

McCain did a great thing in Vietnam and deserved the kudos he got for that.

His political career was a very unfortunate depiction of how shitty a person can go after doing great things, or how false the random, unplanned greatness can end up being.
He became one of the most self-selling, self-important jackasses in DC. To the point of being a criminal, and having no allegiance to anything but his own benefit.

He sure figured out how to ride the antifa / BLM hate-Trump train in his waning days. Great legacy. In the view of the MSM, lol.

I read Dwight Eisenhower's biography. Like many great people, he had great ideas that were misconstrued. While he supported NATO, his support was limited to countering the Red Menace. And he is on record stating that wants the Soviets were gone and the battle against Eastern communism was defeated, it should be disbanded. To the today's Neo cons, it would be sacrilege to say any such thing, yet the father of their movement stated as much that NATO should only be temporary. But like all money makers in government, it never went away.

And while he supported limited missions to oust anti-US governments (which he did in Guatemala and Iran in 1954), he was dead set against Colonial or imperial maneuvers, which is why he opposed Britain and France's maneuvers in the Suez Canal crisis of '56.

Virtually every president since FDR has rejected isolationism. JFK was the closest to expressing his doubts of overseas missions (re: Vietnam) between Hoover and Trump, but even he was not politically strong enough to completely backout of the region.

Guys like John McCain are the holdovers from this era of USA globalists bent on imposing its will in foreign hostile regions. Having giving it enough thought on my own, I don't think I support those initiatives anymore.

Pray tell what was the "great thing" he did in Vietnam? He is despised for allegedly leaving hundreds of POWs behind to die.

McCain was as corrupt as they come. A warmonger bought and paid for by Saudi Arabia. He was an open borders globalist from the get go. He dragged his sorry ass into Senate chambers to give one more mighty "F You" to the American people when he voted against repeal and replace. He also was instrumental in carrying water for the never-Trumpers with respect to giving credibility to the Steele dossier.

A POS and traitor who now gets to meet his maker. F McCain.

It's funny, just this morning I read some stuff on McCain that I hadn't even seen before. Testimony from the CC of the Americans in the prison camp where McCain was kept, as well as another senior officer. Both said that McCain was never tortured or mistreated. The key thing was that this was the camp that they released POW's from, so no torture there.

Second was that he traded info to get immediate treatment for his arms and leg, hurt in his crash.

Third was that there was a sweeping indictment for a bunch of POW's or others who had supposedly worked with the NVA, that Nixon had to pardon and hide. McCain supposedly one of those named in it.

Lastly, there's another old colonel that says McCain's nickname Songbird was because of him giving up the info so willingly.

So, I have no idea about the veracity of any of this, but damn, if true, there had to have been a major Hollywood production to create McCain the Hero. Sounds like a great way for the CIA to create an icon that would work for them for 40 years.

I just think it's funny that the guy was such a dick in so many other instances. His "wet start" (pooling fuel in the engine then hitting the starter, to blow an explosion in the face of the pilot/ plane behind you - apparently a funny joke among idiot hot dog pilots) caused the Forrestal disaster; guilty as hell in the Keating fraud, guilty as hell in lying about the SC flag fiasco, guilty as hell in creating / aiding ISIS and other terrorists; just wallowing in his anti-Trump stink for the adulation of the left.

Yeah he was a winner all right. Supposedly crashed 4 or 5 planes dicking around.

Based on what I have read, it is difficult to pin the U.S.S. Forrestal disaster on him. His plane was on the flight deck in a position where a wet start would have sent the fireball and the sound off the deck and out to sea. But he did have daddy and grampa there to cover his ass. He was allegedly a hot head and a careless pilot.
