Thoughts?

It's just enough "over the top" with assumptions like: segue from two boys fighting at a BBQ to "sexual harassment and sexual assault" (which is like comparing apples to platypuses) that it probably pushes it from "nice message" to "MAN AM BAD!". I certainly don't disagree with the overall message that being a douchey guy is bad...but I don't think that's what's portrayed here.

I'm okay with it.

Quite honestly, with the # of online reviews out there today, ads mean so much more to me than they used to.

Just another section of the slide to the bottom of cultural Marxism.

Seems like Gillette is taking a huge chance pissing off its customer base.

If you need to be reminded that bullying, sexual assault and general douchiness is bad, you are beyond being swayed by a commercial.

It is just virtue signaling.

Oh yeah on another note - fuck Gillette - they donated $350k to Planned Parenthood.

We live in a society where people are being fed their lines and are asked to obey their masters. And right now, the master is as Kanrok said... cultural Marxism.

You should be ashamed of being a man.

Will they do a similar ad for women showing them sleeping with married men for their money, getting massive divorce settlements, asking for free drinks from men at the bar and keeping their sons from fathers because they are behind on child support? Or how about high profile false rape accusations?

No, those aren't all women either, just as not all men are douches.

This.

Stupid ad that at best only alienates some of their consumers. If it wasn't so ham handed, I'd find it demeaning that P&G feels the need to lecture me on what their opinion of a man should be.

I'd like to make a Tampon commercial in the same vein.

Dis somanumbatching country was founded so that the liberties of common patriotic citizens like me could not be taken away by a bunch of fargin iceholes... like yourselves.

It’s so weird.

On a day-to-day basis, the people I meet generally couldn’t be nicer.

A smile, an open door, a kind word, all go a long way.

Then I turn to social media and it looks like Dante’s fifth ring of hell!

So, I watched the ad several times to see if I overreacted. But it actually made me more angry.

And here's why... the assumptions this commercial makes.

For one, it starts out with the final words "toxic masculinity."

This apparently is the thesis that underlies all of the problems the commercial teaches. Essentially, acting like a man or a boy is what causes kids to bully, demean women in the streets and that lassez-faire men who condone this behavior perpetuates the problem.

That is so far from the truth, you have to be an SJW to believe it. What causes that behavior is definitely poor parenting. But it's not men raising their kids to be men that is the problem. It's parents who don't teach their kids right from wrong and (not just the dad either, but the mother) and, in many cases, men who don't pay attention to their kids at all. This commercial is so absurdly lazy in its assumptions about how turds become turds.

I will teach my son to be masculine and that it's okay to be a boy. And I will instruct him when he is not behaving in a manner acceptable.

Also, the one thing in this commercial that's hilarious is gives a starring role for all bad behavior to white males whereas the big chunk of heroes in the commercial are black (e.g. Terry Crews, the black guy stopping the man from going after the woman in public, the man raising the girl's self-esteem in the mirror). I love that liberals and SJW's approve of this. They will tell you, "But if it doesn't apply to you, then what's the problem?"

Well, remember that when Trump is talking about illegal aliens being rapists, murderers and drug-dealers, he's only talking about the bad ones. If you aren't doing that, then you shouldn't have a problem.

And here's another beaut:

At the 0:40 mark of that clip, the woman speaking is from the ultra left Young Turks, who also, as one of the commentators perceptively points out, denies that the Armenian Genocide ever occurred.

EDIT: sorry, did a fact check and that was the fat one who denied it ever happened. But the young lady is still 100% brainless.

I've been a Gillette user for 40+ years. Now I'm done with them. Throw them in there with those pussies from Ben & Jerry's, who are also on my "do not purchase from" list.
